Our Services

Whitecap Consulting, established in May 2012, is a regional strategy consultancy helping clients analyse, develop and implement growth strategies.

We formed the business having identified a gap in the market between the large London-based strategy consultancies serving corporate clients and local ‘one-man bands’ serving smaller clients.

Since then, we have grown steadily and now have six offices in the UK – Leeds, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Newcastle and Bristol – and our work falls into the following categories:

  • Direct client advisory: working on a range of projects with multi-sector clients, that typically have revenues between £10m to £300m turnover, so primarily working with established SMEs, mid-market organisations and divisions of corporates.

  • Commercial due diligence: co-ordinated from our Manchester office, we work with management teams and Investment Directors at regional PE firms where the investment is typically up to c£15m.

  • Market and ecosystem analysis and reports: these are often initiated by a lead or ‘catalyst’ client and then crowdfunded through other commercial contributors. The key findings and recommendations then presented and published.
