A new chapter begins for one of the UK's most iconic locations. The launch of the Silverstone 2035 Vision, co-created with the support of Whitecap Consulting, sets out an ambitious, dynamic plan to transform Silverstone into the world's premier destination for high-performance innovation.

Silverstone has long been synonymous with motorsport excellence. Today, that legacy serves as the foundation for an even broader ambition: to create a thriving ecosystem where sport, science, engineering, technology and leisure converge to drive sustainable growth.

The Vision for 2035

The Silverstone 2035 Vision outlines a bold plan to evolve beyond motorsport heritage, establishing Silverstone as a global centre of excellence across advanced manufacturing, clean energy, healthcare, defence, aerospace, mobility, and tourism sectors.

At its core, the vision aims to accelerate a self-sustaining environment that fosters innovation, attracts world-class talent, stimulates investment and strengthens infrastructure. By 2035, Silverstone is set to become a vibrant hub where breakthrough technologies are developed, commercialised and scaled.

Key Pillars for Transformation

  • Advanced Research and Commercialisation: Turning cutting-edge R&D into scalable commercial solutions.
  • Smart, Sustainable Infrastructure: Investing in low-carbon transport, smart grids and digital connectivity.
  • Investment and Business Growth: Establishing an innovation incubator and attracting global investment.
  • Talent and Skills Development: Building a globally recognised centre for technical, management and leadership expertise.
  • World-Class Destination: Enhancing visitor experiences by blending heritage with future-focused industries.
  • Connected and Collaborative Ecosystem: Strengthening partnerships across public, private, academic, and civic sectors.

With strong leadership from Adrian Pryce DL and the University of Northampton, and the backing of Silverstone Park, Silverstone Circuit and the Silverstone Technology Cluster, Silverstone 2035 is supported by nearly 50 organisations across the region. The Silverstone 2035 Vision project was co-funded by Buckinghamshire Council, West Northamptonshire Council, MEPC Silverstone Park and Silverstone Circuit. The delivery partners were Whitecap Consulting, HN Communications and Tomorrow’s Tourism with the support of public affairs specialists Challenger Communications.

 Whitecap Director Lal Tawney commented:

It was exciting to work alongside such a passionate group of stakeholders, all united in shaping Silverstone into the world’s premier destination for high-performance innovation. Together, we’re setting the stage for a future of growth and transformation.”

Collaboration at the Core

The development of the Silverstone 2035 Vision has been shaped by deep engagement with business leaders, academia and local government. Supported by a robust evidence base and a structured programme of strategic workshops, the process reflects the power of collaboration in defining a bold, shared ambition for the future.

Whitecap Consulting played a central role in the co-creation of the Vision, leading the development of the evidence base, facilitating strategic engagement with nearly 50 senior leaders, and helping shape the content and structure of the Vision outputs alongside the Silverstone 2035 project team and communications partners.
