We are proud to announce our latest event, HealthTech North, which takes place on Wednesday 1st March at First Direct Arena and is hosted by Whitecap Consulting in association with Spread Innovations.
Attendees at HealthTech North will hear insights and experience relating to the latest developments in the sector, and will learn how to overcome some of the barriers that exist to successfully selling products and services to the public sector. A panel of high profile guest speakers including the CBI and mHabitat will discuss the growing health tech sector and how SMEs in this space can successfully engage with the NHS, as well as showcasing current tech innovations in the industry and potential market opportunities.
This event is for product and service providers, investors, agencies, consultants and public sector organisations in the healthcare and tech industries.
HealthTech North will be held on 1st March 2017 at First Direct Arena in Leeds, starting with breakfast and networking at 8.00am, closing at 10.30am.

8.00-8.30. Networking & Breakfast
8.30-8.35. Welcome – Julian Wells, Director, Whitecap Consulting.
8.35-8.55. Beckie Hart, Regional Director, CBI.
Beckie will provide a general macro- economic update including sharing the CBI’s perspective on the health market. Furthermore, Beckie will also discuss insights collected from CBI members in their dealings with the NHS.
8.55-9.20. Mike Farrar, Chief Executive, Spread Innovations.
Mike Farrar is a management consultant and public health expert with 15 years of CEO experience in the NHS. He will be discussing how to work with the NHS and where opportunities exist to collaborate in this space.
9.20-9.45. Victoria Betton, Director, mHabitat
Victoria is a Director and Founder of mHabitat, an NHS hosted organisation which implements an innovation lab approach to testing out and deploying digital tools in the health and social care sectors. Victoria’s session will look at HealthTech from a product perspective, discussing how to design and develop products that are feasible and can be used in the complex environment of the NHS.
9.45-10.10. Laura Bailey, CEO, Zerado.
Laura is the Co-founder and CEO of Zerado – a technology and consulting company specialising in Blockchain, Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence. She will be speaking on the opportunities and challenges in cryptography and electronic health records.

Chaired by Mark Chamberlain, director at Spread Innovations and associate at Whitecap, the Q&A will include all the speakers as well as Whitecap’s managing director Richard Coates.
