Specialising in spotting commercial opportunities and developing brand strategies that are simple to understand, Tessa is able to resonate with consumers and deliver business targets.

Tessa works collaboratively to unearth and interpret insights, and uses these to develop new brand direction, NPD and communications plans that engage and involve consumers and drive growth.

In her 15 years as a planner in London and Leeds, Tessa has worked with many of the UK’s best-known brands, leading the creation of a number of brands and brand extensions within food, fashion, financial services and DIY.  This involved rigorous market analysis, definition of market opportunities, understanding of consumer needstates, new product concept development, creative realisation and communications strategy development.

Tessa brings the consumer into the heart of commercial decision making.  With Ronseal, she masterminded a consumer driven market segmentation which has been used as their blueprint for marketing, NPD and communications strategy for many years.  While working with first direct, Tessa developed a digital strategy that would bring the customer’s offline experience of the brand to life online, integrating consumer motivators into the online sales experience.

Tessa is a highly experienced and creative facilitator, and has run marketing workshops for the likes of Nestle, Durex, HSBC and Seven Seas, to name but a few.

Tessa loves the great outdoors and spent her honeymoon in the higher reaches of the Himalayas.  In the summer you will find her under canvas somewhere in the North York Moors.  When indoors, she can be found slaving over a hot cake tin or with her nose in a book, small children permitting!
