James has 25 years experience working in both International Senior Marketing and strategic projects roles, creating value for private companies and plcs in over 40 application end markets ranging from digital to manufacturing.
He is particularly passionate about B2B technical and manufacturing organisations where he has a long list of experience including composites, engines and gensets, electrical engineering, energy, fabrication, forging, injection moulding, machining, prototyping, marine systems, off highway, offshore systems, oil & gas, plastics, packaging, technical products, pressings, railway/locomotive, water & utilities. James has also worked for EEF, The Manufacturer’s Organisation, helping the largest technical businesses in the UK with business compliance and getting their voices heard in Westminster. He is also a former EEF Regional Advisory Board member.
Always keen to pass on his experience, learn from his peers and hone his coaching skills, James built a CPD portfolio in the 2000’s through part-time teaching 100 post grads at Level 7 level in Strategic Market Analysis and Decisions, achieving 90-100% passing cohorts. He was also privileged to lead an Executive MBA course as a single term interim in Strategic Marketing by Newcastle Business School.
A University of Durham graduate, James has reached Fellowship status with both the Institutes of Marketing and Consulting. He is professionally qualified through Post Grad Diplomas in Marketing and Market Research and is also a former regional chairman of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
